This Role
As Senior Integration Planner, you will own the integrated master schedule across our infrastructure delivery portfolio, bringing engineering, commercial, risk, and assurance activity together into a single, defensible plan. You'll be the person leadership and clients turn to when they need confidence that complex, security-sensitive infrastructure work is planned to withstand scrutiny and change.
You will work at the interface of delivery, governance, and client assurance, translating scope and constraint into schedule logic that holds up under audit. This is a role for someone who wants their planning judgement trusted at the highest levels of a programme.
Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain the integrated, resource- and cost-loaded master schedule across design, build, test, acceptance, and in-service support
Establish planning structures aligned to WBS, cost breakdown structure, and contractual deliverables
Integrate cross-functional inputs from engineering, delivery, commercial, and risk teams into a single coherent schedule
Lead schedule risk analysis, including quantitative techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation
Assess the schedule impact of change requests and support formal change control and baseline management
Produce clear planning reports and dashboards for governance boards, senior stakeholders, and client reviews
Support assurance reviews, audits, and gate readiness assessments to defence and government standards
Provide planning input to bids, proposals, and contract negotiations
Mentor planners across the portfolio and drive consistent adoption of planning standards
Experience
Significant experience as a senior planner on complex infrastructure, defence, or government programmes
Track record developing and assuring integrated schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools
Experience supporting formal governance and assurance processes in regulated or security-sensitive environments
Demonstrated ability to conduct schedule risk analysis and translate findings into delivery decisions
Experience providing planning input to bids, proposals, and contract negotiations
Prior exposure to mentoring or technically leading junior planning staff
Skills
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with strong Excel-based reporting capability
Fluent in WBS/CBS structuring and integration of cost- and resource-loaded schedules
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interrogate schedule logic and identify critical path risk
Clear, precise communication suited to senior governance and client audiences
Sound judgement under time pressure, with the discipline required for security-sensitive delivery
Collaborative style, able to align engineering, commercial, and delivery stakeholders
Qualifications
Degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Recognised planning qualification or accreditation (e.g. APM PMQ, Primavera certification) desirable
Eligible to obtain and hold UK security clearance (SC); existing clearance advantageous
